Vega Sport® Protein is plant-based, made with real, plant-based food ingredients. What’s the Difference Between Vega Sport Pre-workout Energizer and Vega Sport Sugar-free Energizer?

Vega Sport® Pre-Workout Energizer has 14 grams of carbs and 70 calories, while Vega Sport® Sugar-Free Energizer is sweetened only with stevia and has only 10 calories. Choose Vega Sport Pre-Workout Energizer when you are looking for carbs and calories before your workout.

Some Customers Take Issue With the Inclusion of Stevia. Why Do You Use It in the Formula?

We have yet to find another no-calorie, natural sweetener that does not add sugars to the nutritional profile and is not a sugar alcohol or chemical derivative. We believe stevia is the best choice in line with the Guiding Principles of Vega. Customers sensitive to stevia can continue to choose Natural and Chocolate for lower stevia content.

Are the Ingredients in Vega One Organic?

To certify all ingredients can be cost prohibitive to some of the smaller farmers we work with however we choose ingredients that are organic, non-GMO and pesticide-free where we can.

Where Are Ingredients in Vega One Sourced From?

approximately 68% of the ingredients in Vega One are grown and processed in North America, Europe and Japan. We choose to source some ingredients from their native climate including: organic gelatinized maca root (Peru), sacha inchi protein (Peru), and chlorella (Japan).

Why Do You No Longer List the Number of Servings of Greens?

Vega One™ has the same amount of veggies and greens as it used to, and we have not reduced the amount of veggies and greens in every scoop. The USDA doesn’t recommend that you track your vegetable intake by servings any more. So, we’re changing the way we talk about the veggies and greens on our packaging.

Are the Sacha Inchi Seeds/Proteins in Vega One Sourced Ethically?

Sustainability and sustainably grown ingredients is something that is very important to Vega®. We believe in finding suppliers that have similar core values to ours and who have good farming practices, ones with whom we can build long-lasting partnerships. Our sacha inchi seed supplier confirms that the product is produced from sacha inchi seeds farmed according to organic farming practices and follows environmental sustainability criteria indicated in the Control Union Fair Choice certification. They certify that the sacha inchi powder does not lead to deforestation.
