Excellent Product!

Dr. Bronners Castille Soap is an excellent product which I have been using for number of years. I especially like lavender, eucalyptus and peppermint. I use it as a hand soap but also as a shower soap.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dr. Bronner’s Eucalyptus Pure-Castile Soap designed for?

Dr. Bronner’s Eucalyptus Pure-Castile Magic Soap is a concentrated, plant-based liquid soap for cleansing the body, hands, face, and household surfaces. Organic eucalyptus oil provides a fresh aromatic scent, while coconut, olive, hemp, and jojoba oils help create a smooth lather.

How should I use the soap for body washing, face washing, or a foaming dispenser?

For body washing, apply one squirt to wet hands or a washcloth and lather. For facial cleansing, wet the face and lather with two to three drops. For foaming dispensers, dilute one part soap with three parts water and use within one month.

What ingredients are included in the eucalyptus formula?

The formula contains water, organic coconut oil, potassium hydroxide, organic palm oil, organic olive oil, organic eucalyptus oil, organic hemp seed oil, organic jojoba wax, citric acid, and tocopherol. These are the ingredients specifically listed for the eucalyptus variety.

What does the eucalyptus oil contribute to the soap?

Organic eucalyptus oil is the featured aromatic ingredient and gives the soap its fresh eucalyptus scent. The available information identifies eucalyptus oil as part of the formula but does not assign a medicinal benefit, treatment effect, or specific concentration to it.

Is the soap vegan and made with organic ingredients?

Yes. This product is identified as vegan and organic. Its formula uses organic coconut, palm, olive, eucalyptus, hemp seed, and jojoba ingredients, while the packaging also highlights Certified Fair Trade ingredients and Regenerative Organic Certified oils.

Which oils are Certified Fair Trade or Regenerative Organic Certified?

Organic coconut oil, organic palm oil, and organic olive oil are marked as Certified Fair Trade ingredients. Coconut, palm, olive, and hemp seed oils are also identified with Regenerative Organic Certified status in the ingredient information.

Why is potassium hydroxide listed as an ingredient?

Potassium hydroxide is used during saponification, the process that converts oils into soap and glycerin. The ingredient information states that none of the potassium hydroxide remains after this soap-making process is complete.

What different uses are listed for this concentrated soap?

Dr. Bronner’s Eucalyptus Pure-Castile Soap can be used for body, hands, face, shaving, makeup and makeup brushes, all-purpose spray, pet washing, camping, and additional uses. Because it is concentrated, directions and dilution can differ depending on how you use it.

Are there any important precautions or dilution instructions?

Keep the soap out of your eyes and use it externally only. For foaming dispensers, dilute one part soap with three parts water and use the prepared mixture within one month. Follow the stated directions for each intended use.

How concentrated is Dr. Bronner’s Eucalyptus Liquid Soap?

This soap is described as two to three times more concentrated than many leading brands. That concentration is why some uses call for only a few drops or a measured dilution, rather than applying the same amount for every purpose.
